Danielle Augustine specializes in defending the interest of employers and insurance carriers in various workers’ compensation matters. She works closely with employers and insurance carriers in defending claims and minimizing exposure and litigation costs. Ms. Augustine counsels employers on the workers’ compensation process, including compliance with statutory requirements and effective claims handling. She also drafts submission letters, appellate briefs, seminar materials and litigation strategies on complex legal issues.

Before joining McAnany, Van Cleave and Phillips, Ms. Augustine received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas. While attending KU, she served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children as a volunteer through the Douglas County CASA Program.

Ms. Augustine subsequently obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Kansas School of Law in 2016. While in law school, Ms. Augustine was a student mentor for incoming first-year students and served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable John W. Lungstrum at the United States District Court for the District of Kansas.

Ms. Augustine currently lives in Kansas City, Missouri and enjoys traveling, exercising and spending time with her family and friends. She is an avid Jayhawk Basketball fan.
