Samantha Benjamin-House is an AV-rated attorney who specializes in defending employers’ and insurance carriers’ interests in workers’ compensation claims in Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma. Her expertise in defending claims begins with educating her clients in ways to reduce their number of claims that arise and to minimize their overall exposure.

Ms. Benjamin-House’s expertise includes successfully defending issues involving jurisdiction, occupational diseases, statute of limitations defense, safety defense, and other litigation matters. She has successfully argued before the various appellate levels in Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kansas including the Courts of Appeal.

When Ms. Benjamin-House is not representing the interests of employers and insurance carriers, she is very active in the community. A shareholder with McAnany, Van Cleave & Phillips, P.A., she has sat on the Missouri Bar Association’s board of directors and is a member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Committee. Ms. Benjamin-House volunteers her time at Wayside Waifs, Catholic Charities, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and Special Olympics. She is the 2006 recipient of the Lawyers Association of Kansas City’s Public Service Award.  Ms. Benjamin-House enjoys sailing and fishing during her free time.
