Meredith Ashley is an associate representing the interests of employers and insurance carriers in various workers’ compensation and insurance defense matters. She writes appellate briefs, submission letters, and litigation strategies, and conducts legal research on complex issues.

 

Ms. Ashley obtained her Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2017 on a full merit scholarship. During her time there, she was the Managing Editor for the Corporation Law Journal, participated in Moot Court and Trial Advocacy, and volunteered in the Law and Policy in Action Legal Clinic. Ms. Ashley also worked in the International Law Clinic, conducted an intersession course in London, and mentored international students through the Global Ambassadors Program. She was on the managing boards for the American Constitution Society and Outlaws, and she worked as a Research Assistant for Professor Mark Osiel. While in law school, Ms. Ashley interned for the American Civil Liberties Union of Missouri and the Missouri Public Defenders Office as well as the Johnson County Domestic Violence Court. She graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law with Service Honors.

 

Ms. Ashley graduated cum laude from the University of Tulsa in 2014 on a full merit scholarship with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and minors in Anthropology and Communications. She spent a semester abroad in London and was a Study Abroad Student Ambassador. Ms. Ashley was a member of the Anthropology Honor Society, Scroll Honor Society, Lantern Honor Society, President’s Honor Roll, and Dean’s Honor Roll. She also played intramural volleyball and softball. Ms. Ashley is a Delta Gamma and a National Merit Scholar.

 

Ms. Ashley currently resides in Overland Park, KS, where she spends time attending many fairs and festivals. She loves to cook, read, and travel.
