Gregory S. Davey represents clients in a wide variety of areas, including banking, real estate transactions, probate, and commercial law matters, such as commercial paper, secured transactions, bankruptcy, and general business advice. He assists clients in litigation involving business disputes, including intellectual property claims, breach of fiduciary duties, restrictive covenants, covenants not to compete, and trade secrets.
Mr. Davey drafts articles of incorporation and bylaws, wills and trusts, discovery and discovery motions, motions for summary judgment, notices of deposition, appeal briefs, and authors workers' compensation and employment law seminar materials. He regularly conducts legal research and drafts legal memoranda on a variety of topics, including corporate law, contract law, real estate law, bankruptcy law, and secured transactions.
Prior to his employment at McAnany, Van Cleave & Phillips, Mr. Davey worked as a legal intern for the University of Kansas Legal Services for Students, where he interviewed and advised clients, drafted legal correspondence, assisted in litigation, and otherwise advocated for his clients.
Continuing a family tradition, Mr. Davey has been involved in various programs focusing on English as a second language. A Graduate of Leadership Northeast, he is active in the Northeast Johnson County Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Davey enjoys mountain biking, traveling, and playing the guitar. Twice a graduate of the University of Kansas, he is an avid Jayhawks fan.
