Brent Neumeyer represents employers and insurance carriers in defending workers’ compensation claims. He drafts proposed awards, appellate briefs, Medicare set-aside trust proposals, and workers' compensation seminar materials. Mr. Neumeyer also researches and drafts memoranda on various employment law issues.
Mr. Neumeyer obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and he earned his Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University School of Law. Mr. Neumeyer received a Certificate in Employment Law from the Wefel Center for Employment Law at Saint Louis University School of Law.
While at Saint Louis University School of Law, Mr. Neumeyer served as an editor of the Law Journal, a Legal Research & Writing teaching assistant, a mentor to incoming first-year law students, and a faculty research assistant. He served as a student liaison for the University, meeting with faculty candidates during their on-campus visits. Also while in law school, Mr. Neumeyer honed his trial advocacy skills as a member of the School of Law's Trial Advocacy Team.
Mr. Neumeyer is a trained mediator, and he participated in the School of Law Mediation Clinic where he conducted landlord-tenant mediations in housing court and conciliation mediations in family court.
Mr. Neumeyer enjoys volunteering, and supports various local charities that benefit children, including St. Louis Challenger Baseball and America Scores St. Louis. In his spare time, he enjoys playing soccer and spending time with friends. Mr. Neumeyer also enjoys music and plays several instruments, including the bagpipes and guitar.
