Laura Sides represents employers and insurance carriers in defending workers' compensation claims. Ms. Sides helps insurance companies reach favorable resolutions with injured workers by successfully negotiating settlement agreements and obtaining dismissals of claims.
Ms. Sides has been practicing law since 2004. She is a former assistant attorney general for the State of Missouri where she defended the interests of the Missouri Second Injury Fund. Ms. Sides has successfully negotiated numerous settlement agreements and drafted effective briefs to the Missouri Labor and Industrial Relations Commission and Missouri Courts of Appeal. She has successfully submitted workers' compensation set-aside trust proposals for Medicare's approval, resulting in considerable financial savings to her clients.
Ms. Sides obtained both her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia. While in law school, Ms. Sides received a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from the Center for Dispute Resolution at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. She also received the C.A.L.I. Award of Excellence in Arbitration and earned a position on the Dean's List.
Ms. Sides currently resides in Brentwood, Missouri. She enjoys cooking, being outdoors, spending time with friends and family and volunteering for several community organizations. She is also a huge fan of the Missouri Tigers.
