With a financial background as a certified public accountant, Jane Sieve-Wilson represents clients in a broad range of legal matters including labor and employment claims, insurance defense, employee benefits litigation including claims brought under ERISA, taxation and estate planning and probate matters. In addition, Ms. Sieve-Wilson assists clients with the design, implementation and administration of employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), 401(k) and 403b plans, pension and other qualified and non-qualified plans.
Ms. Sieve-Wilson's prior experience includes practice in the estate planning area of law where she utilized the most sophisticated tax-planning techniques designed to minimize estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax and income taxes and used the most innovative techniques for plan design. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Sieve-Wilson worked as a certified public accountant at Deloitte Tax LLP preparing federal and state returns for individuals, partnerships and corporations; researching legislation, tax treatises and case law on tax issues and drafting memoranda summarizing the findings.
A graduate of Class XXIII of Leadership 2000 sponsored by the Kansas City, Kansas Chamber of Commerce, Ms. Sieve-Wilson is an active member of the community and local bar. She is a member of the Children's Mercy Hospital Donald H. Chisholm Planned Giving Council.
