Robert L. Turner represents clients in a variety of legal matters including commercial and business litigation, as well as contractual and transactional matters. His practice involves civil litigation defense relating to all types of employment claims, tort claims, insurance claims, and real estate law. In addition to his civil litigation practice, Mr. Turner also represents clients in business and corporate transactional matters related to business and real estate transactions, including corporate formation. He has experience representing not only for-profit business entities but also not-for-profit entities, governmental entities and agencies. Mr. Turner prepares pleadings, motions and memoranda, conducting legal research and analysis for a wide array of complex legal issues. Mr. Turner represents clients in Kansas and Missouri on both the state and federal levels.
Before joining McAnany, Van Cleave, and Phillips, Mr. Turner obtained his J.D. from the Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia. While in law school he earned his Transactional Law and Skills Certificate from Emory’s Center for Transactional Law and Practice. In addition, Mr. Turner served as a Managing Editor for the Emory Law Journal. During law school he gained experience as a law clerk to Judge C. LaTain Kell, Sr. in the Cobb County Superior Court. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Turner received his undergraduate degree in Finance from the University of Georgia.
Mr. Turner currently lives in Kansas City, Missouri near the Plaza area. He spends his free time with family and friends, and enjoys exploring the culinary and music scenes around the Kansas City area with his wife Audrey. He is an avid fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, and follows the Braves, Falcons, and Hawks.
