McAnany, Van Cleave & Phillips (MVP) is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Springfield, MO law firm Harmison & Pearman (H&P). This comes after Harmison & Pearman founding partner Jerry Harmison was appointed as Associate Circuit Judge for the 31st Judicial Circuit.
Attorneys Greg Pearman and Brooke Smith will begin at MVP on November 1st, 2017. They will continue to focus their practice on workers' compensation as part of MVP's established workers' compensation defense practice in Springfield, MO.
Pearman has been practicing workers' compensation defense since 1995 after graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He started his career with Miller & Sanford. In 2003, Pearman and former partner Harmison established their own practice, Harmison & Pearman. He has been very active in the Springfield community. He is a member and past president of Rotary Club of Springfield Sunrise, a former board member of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Springfield and the Ozarks, and he serves as a Committee Member for the Community-Wide Coalition for School Board Candidate Recruitment. He is active in the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce and is on the Legislative Policy Committee.
Smith was admitted to practice in 2004, and focuses her practice on Missouri workers' compensation cases. Smith has spent her entire career with H&P. She graduated from the University of Kansas Law School in 2004. She has been active in the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, and has served as a Red Carpet Committee Member. She is a Member of WIN, and a Team Leader for Light the Night.
