Taylor Leonard focuses her practice on workers’ compensation defense. She works closely with employers and insurance carriers in defending claims and minimizing exposure and litigation costs.
Ms. Leonard received her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Missouri. She also earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri, where she graduated cum laude.
While enrolled in law school, Ms. Leonard was the Lead Articles Editor of the Journal of Dispute Resolution, secretary of Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Fraternity and Assistant Interscholastic Competition Director of the Board of Advocates. In the spring of 2014, her case note, The Pressure to Plea: How Case-Management Mediation Will Alter Criminal Plea Bargaining, was published in the Journal of Dispute Resolution. Ms. Leonard received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Jury Instructions, Administrative Law, Complex Litigation, Advanced Trial Practice and Estates & Trusts. She was also the recipient of the William F. Fratcher Prize for Best Work in Estates & Trusts.
Ms. Leonard currently lives in St. Louis and is an avid Mizzou fan. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
