Thomas J. Pettit defends employers and insurers in workers’ compensation claims in both Missouri and Illinois. Mr. Pettit has been practicing law since 2005, handling cases primarily in workers’ compensation defense. He collaborates with his clients to determine the most effective litigation plan for each case and works to bring each of them to a successful resolution through a negotiated settlement or trial. He has experience in researching and drafting appellate briefs in both Illinois and Missouri.
Mr. Pettit obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, and his Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University School of Law. At Saint Louis University, Mr. Pettit was a student mentor for incoming first-year students and a law clerk for the Honorable Rodney W. Sippel at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
Mr. Pettit lives in St. Louis with his wife and is an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. During his free time, Mr. Pettit enjoys playing golf and spending time with family and friends. He is also very involved with the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
